| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of King Charles X facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed naturalistic hair. The legend CHARLES X ROI DE FRANCE curves around the periphery, divided on both sides of the effigy. A small engraver's initial appears in the lower field beneath the truncation. The portrait is executed in the neoclassical style characteristic of early Restoration coinage. |
