| Obverse description | Central field features a detailed engraved depiction of the Italian tall ship Amerigo Vespucci, a full-rigged sailing vessel shown in broadside view with all masts and rigging clearly rendered. Below the ship, a small lion passant device is positioned centrally above the denomination inscription. The legend REPUBLIQUE DEMOCRATIQUE DU CONGO curves along the lower periphery, with the denomination 10 FRANCS and date 2005 inscribed in the lower central field. The design is laser-engraved into the transparent acrylic disc, giving the imagery a distinctive etched relief appearance against the dark field. |
