| 背面描述 | The reverse is entirely blank, presenting a smooth, slightly convex field with concentric die lines visible, characteristic of a reverse essai or trial piece where only the obverse design was submitted for approval. The plain surface demonstrates the experimental nature of this pattern strike, with no legends, devices, or decorative elements present. |

Ahmad II ruled Tunisia as Bey under French protectorate authority, and the essai series produced by the Monnaie de Paris in 1930 was part of the formal process by which proposed coin types were evaluated and approved before regular striking commenced. Essais of this period were typically struck in very limited numbers — often fewer than 100 pieces — and distributed primarily to officials, collectors, and archival institutions rather than entering circulation at all.
Lecompte 317 places this among the documented trial strikes for the protectorate coinage revision of that year.
