Obverse description	The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Rwanda centrally positioned within the field, depicting a traditional Rwandan shield flanked by a sorghum stalk and a branch, supported by a knotted rope below, with a sun rising above. The legend BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA arcs along the upper periphery, while AMAFARANGA to the lower left and ICUMI to the lower right flank the denomination numeral 10 at the base. The motto UBUMWE · UMURIMO · GUKUNDA IGIHUGU appears on a scroll within the coat of arms. The design is rendered in a matte relief against a satin field.

Reverse description	The reverse features a detailed frontal portrait of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana) occupying the majority of the field, rendered with fine engraving capturing the animal's broad ears, prominent tusks, and powerful stance.
