| Aanvullende informatie |
Tromelin is administered by France as part of the Scattered Islands, a grouping of territories under the authority of the French Southern and Antarctic Lands. The island has no permanent civilian population — only a small rotating meteorological station staffed by Météo-France. No monetary economy exists there. This coin was never intended for circulation and was issued purely for the collector market, exploiting the administrative technicality of territorial sovereignty to produce a saleable numismatic novelty.
