Reverse description At the centre of the field, the denomination '10 FRANCS' is inscribed in two bold lines, with the year of issue positioned below flanked by two small decorative torch symbols. To the left stands the Gallic rooster (Coq Gaulois), a national symbol of France, depicted erect and crowing atop a stylised olive or laurel branch that curves along the lower left and bottom of the field. The Republican motto LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE is distributed around the periphery, running from the lower left, across the base, and up the right side of the coin.
