The Trésor Français notes were issued specifically for use by Allied military personnel in France following liberation — a parallel currency designed to prevent the occupation-era Reichskreditkasse notes from being absorbed into the recovering French economy. This 10 Francs belongs to the second series of that Allied Military Currency, distinguished from the earlier yellow-toned American-printed issues by its production at the Banque de France's own workshops.
Deloche and Munier were both established Banque de France engravers, and their involvement signals a deliberate move toward reintegrating France's own printing infrastructure after years of wartime disruption. By 1947 the military currency was being phased out entirely.
