| 备注 |
The Banque de l'Afrique Occidentale served as the note-issuing authority for French West Africa from 1901 until it was dissolved in 1962, its currency privileges gradually transferred to newly independent states. This 10 Francs issue spans the late colonial period, a time when the CFA franc — established in 1945 — had recently redefined the monetary relationship between France and its African territories, pegging the currency to the metropolitan franc at a fixed rate that favored French trade balances.
Printed at the Banque de France's workshops in Paris, with engraving split between Armanelli on the obverse and Tison on the reverse — an occasional production division for smaller-denomination notes in this series.
