The SS 100 — built by the Swallow Sidecar Company before the war forced a name change to Jaguar — was produced from 1936 to 1940, with fewer than 200 examples completed in 3.5-litre form. Congo's commemorative series targeting this marque has no meaningful connection to Congolese monetary history; these pieces were produced entirely for the collector export market, a common revenue strategy among smaller nations through the late 1990s and 2000s.
