Beschrijving keerzijde Central field features a naturalistic depiction of two lions in a savannah setting: a large male lion with a full mane stands prominently facing left in the foreground, while a second lion, partially visible, is positioned to the right amid tall grasses and reeds. A stylized river or watering hole is suggested in the lower field. The legend ENDANGERED WILDLIFE arcs along the upper rim in bold capital letters. An engraver's signature, appearing to read 'Glosikd', is inscribed near the lower right rim.

Aanvullende informatie

The Banque Centrale du Congo has issued a significant volume of silver-plated commemorative and novelty pieces since the early 2000s, largely targeting the collector market rather than domestic circulation. These issues are produced under licensing arrangements with foreign minting firms — principally European — and the DRC's name functions primarily as the issuing authority of convenience rather than reflecting any domestic monetary program.

KM# 105 sits in a crowded field of similar pieces. Silver-plated copper with no certified silver content is worth cataloging accurately for what it is.
