| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo occupies the central field, depicting a leopard's head facing forward, flanked by two crossed elephant tusks and a spear, with a crescent moon above and a scroll inscribed PAIX at the base. The mottoes JUSTICE and TRAVAIL appear on the tusks in relief. The circumferential legend DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO arcs around the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the denomination 10 FRANC is inscribed along the lower rim.
