Reverse description The reverse is divided diagonally into two contrasting fields: the upper-left quadrant bears a frosted, matte finish, while the lower-right is polished, creating a striking visual effect. At center, a large, finely detailed relief of a conch shell (Strombus gigas) dominates the composition, its spiny exterior and open aperture rendered with naturalistic precision. Surrounding the central shell on the left field are six smaller outline renderings of various Caribbean mollusks and gastropod shells, arranged in a loose arc. The denomination 10 florin appears in the upper field, with ARUBA and the date 2003 inscribed in bold capitals in the lower-right quadrant. Two mint marks — the Utrecht privy mark (a sailing ship) and the mintmaster's caduceus mark — appear in the lower exergue.
