| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features a boldly detailed depiction of an adult green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) rendered in high relief at center, its carapace showing finely engraved scute patterning. The field is bisected diagonally, with a matte finish on the left half and a polished mirror finish on the right, creating a striking two-tone contrast. Seven smaller hatchling turtles are scattered across the left matte field, swimming outward in various directions. The denomination '10 florin' appears in the upper field, 'ARUBA' in the lower center, and the date '2001' below, with the Utrecht mint privy mark and mintmaster's mark flanking the date at the bottom. |

Aruba's conservation coinage program in the late 1990s and early 2000s reflected genuine policy concern — the island's green sea turtle nesting population had declined sharply under pressure from coastal development and egg harvesting. The green sea turtle had been legally protected in Aruba since the 1980s, but enforcement remained inconsistent through the following decade.
KM#20 is part of a small silver series issued by the Centrale Bank van Aruba that doubled as both collector material and a vehicle for raising environmental awareness domestically.
