Obverse description Central device depicts a stylized palm tree rising from stylized waves, set within a recessed inner circle. The Arabic legend مملكة البحرين (Kingdom of Bahrain) arcs along the upper periphery, while the Latin legend KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN runs along the lower periphery. The Hijri year 1430 appears to the left and the Gregorian year 2009 to the right of the central motif, flanking the palm tree design.

Reverse description Central field features the denomination numeral 10 above and below a rectangular cartouche containing the Arabic word فلوس (Fils) in stylized script, all set within a raised inner circle.
