Reverse description The reverse features a central raised circle containing the denomination numeral '١٠' (10) in Eastern Arabic numerals above the word 'فلس' (Fils), set within a plain round cartouche. Radiating lines divide the surrounding field into sections bearing the Arabic inscription 'المملكة العراقية' (Kingdom of Iraq) distributed around the periphery, with the Hijri year '١٣٧٢' to the right and the Gregorian year '١٩٥٣' to the left, both flanking the central disk. The overall design follows a symmetrical, geometric layout characteristic of Iraqi coinage of the Hashemite period. The scalloped twelve-lobed border echoes the obverse treatment, lending the coin a distinctive and immediately recognisable profile. The field between the radiating lines is plain.
