| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Faisal II facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The portrait, engraved by Thomas Humphrey Paget, depicts the young king with a youthful, unadorned countenance. The Arabic legend is divided on either side of the effigy, reading right to left across the scalloped field. The coin's twelve-lobed scalloped border frames the composition closely. No exergue is present; the field is otherwise plain. |
