Obverse description Four large Chinese ideograms arranged vertically in two columns dominate the central field, flanking a pair of Manchu script characters at centre. An outer ring of smaller Chinese ideograms forms a circular legend around the periphery, denoting the province of issue, the reign title Guangxu, and the weight standard of 7.2 Candareens. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. The overall layout follows the standard format of late Qing provincial silver coinage.
