| Reverse description | Central field features a coiled imperial dragon in high relief, depicted in classic Qing style with a fierce frontal face, sinuous scaly body, and five-clawed talons clutching a flaming pearl at centre. The dragon is surrounded by stylized cloud and wave motifs at its base. A dotted inner border separates the central device from the outer annulus, which bears Chinese characters at the top reading 廣東省造 (Made in Kwangtung Province) and at the bottom reading 七分三釐 (Seven fen, three li — denoting the weight value of 7.3 candareens). The overall composition is characteristic of the Guangxu-era provincial machine-struck pattern issues. |
