| Reverse description | A coiled imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, its scaled body curving sinuously around a flaming pearl at the centre, with stylised clouds and waves depicted beneath. The dragon's head faces forward with prominent horns and whiskers, rendered in the characteristic late Qing artistic convention. Four Chinese ideograms at the upper periphery identify the issuing province, while additional characters at the lower periphery state the denomination in candareens weight standard. Small rosette ornaments punctuate the legend at the sides, and the entire design is framed by a toothed outer border. |
