| Obverse description | Central field features four Chinese ideograms arranged vertically and read top to bottom, right to left, flanking Manchu script characters at centre. The entire central device is encircled by an English-language peripheral legend denoting the issuing province and denomination. The design is contained within a beaded inner border, with the overall layout characteristic of late Qing provincial silver coinage produced under Western minting technology. |

| Reverse description | A coiled imperial dragon rendered in high relief occupies the central field, its scaled body curving sinuously around a flaming pearl at the centre, with stylised clouds and waves depicted beneath. Four Chinese ideograms at the upper periphery identify the issuing province, while additional characters at the lower periphery state the denomination in candareens weight standard.
