The eusko is a regional complementary currency introduced in the Basque Country in 2013, initially circulating only in paper form around Bayonne and the surrounding French Basque municipalities. By 2018 it had become the most widely used local currency in Europe by volume, a claim backed by the network's own published circulation figures. It operates on a one-to-one parity with the euro, redeemable at participating businesses.

Euskal Moneta, the issuing association, manages both emission and redemption. The 2019 series continued the paper format before digital payment options expanded the network's reach.
