| Obverse description | A richly detailed architectural collage occupies the entire field, depicting façades and landmark elements of three major French museums: the Musée d'Orsay with its prominent clock at left, the Centre Pompidou with its characteristic iron grid structure at centre, and the Louvre with its classical colonnade and the glass pyramid at right. A decorative pediment frieze with allegorical figures is rendered in high relief at centre.
