| 裏面の説明 | A stylized relief map of Central and Western Europe fills the central field, rendered without internal borders to emphasize European unity. Numerous five-pointed stars of varying sizes are scattered densely across the entire field, representing the member states of the European Union and evoking the EU flag motif. The curved legend '50 JAHRE RÖMISCHE VERTRÄGE' arcs along the upper periphery, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome signed in 1957. |

Germany issued this coin in 2007 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, signed on March 25, 1957, which established both the European Economic Community and the European Atomic Energy Community. The Federal Republic was among the six founding signatories, alongside France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg — a geopolitical realignment that would have been unimaginable a decade earlier.
Production was split across all five German federal mints, each distinguished by its mint mark: A, D, F, G, and J. The Stuttgart facility — the Staatliche Münze Baden-Württemberg — struck the F-marked pieces.
