| 正面描述 | The obverse presents a full-length standing figure of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh rendered in high relief at centre, wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt and a ceremonial kilt, holding a smaller votive figure before him. The background field is densely engraved with rows of hieroglyphic inscriptions arranged in registers, evoking an ancient stele or temple wall. Two cartouches appear in the lower corners of the field, framing the central figure. The Eyes of Horus (wedjat) are prominently engraved in the upper portion of the field, flanking the crown. The denominal inscription '10 EURO' appears horizontally across the mid-section of the design in polished relief, intersecting the hieroglyphic background. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse is struck in the form of a recumbent sphinx, its outline defining the irregular shape of the coin itself. The sphinx is depicted in three-quarter frontal bust, wearing the nemes headdress with stripes rendered in fine parallel incuse lines, the face serene and idealised in the manner of ancient Egyptian royal portraiture. The body of the sphinx, including the forepaws and haunches, occupies the lower field. The bold inscription 'LOUVRE' is engraved across the mid-section of the design in a stylised serif font. Below, the dual dates '1822 / 2022' appear in the lower field, commemorating the bicentenary of Champollion's decipherment of hieroglyphics and its connection to the Louvre's Egyptian antiquities collection. |
