| Obverse description | The obverse presents an aerial view of the traditional Lithuanian smelt fishing practice known as žvejyba viliojant, depicted as if observed from above the ice surface. At center, the national coat of arms of Lithuania — the Vytis — is rendered in a stylized frost-crystal motif, integrating organically into the icy landscape composition. Fishermen are shown striking wooden mallets against a board laid across a man-made opening in the ice, creating vibrations that attract smelt into waiting nets below.
