| 表面の説明 | The obverse centers on an early Christian plaquette image recovered from archaeological excavations at Bojná in western Slovakia, superimposed upon a Greek cross whose arms extend to the coin's edge and are filled with characters from the Glagolitic alphabet. The denomination and currency '10 EURO' are inscribed across the upper arm of the cross, while the country name 'SLOVENSKO' arcs in a semicircle along the lower right. Slovakia's national coat of arms appears in the lower left quadrant, with the year of issue '2018' placed directly above it. The Kremnica Mint mark — the initials 'MK' flanked by two dies — and the stylised initials 'RL' of designer Roman Lugár are positioned to the left of the lower arm of the cross. The overall composition is rendered in high relief, combining Glagolitic letterforms and Christian iconography to evoke the origins of Christianity in the Slovak lands. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse features a central cruciform composition depicting Saints Cyril and Methodius standing beneath the arms of a crucifix, rendered in relief against a circular field interspersed with Glagolitic letterforms. A semicircular legend arcs along the lower periphery of the design, reading 'UZNANIE SLOVANSKÉHO LITURGICKÉHO JAZYKA' ('Recognition of the Slavonic liturgical language'). The year '868' — commemorating the papal recognition of the Slavonic liturgical language — is inscribed at the base of the composition beneath the crucifix. The interplay of figural imagery, Glagolitic script, and the historical date creates a unified tribute to the ecclesiastical mission of Cyril and Methodius. The design is attributed to engraver Dalibor Schmidt. |
