Obverse description The obverse depicts the neoclassical façade of the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, the traditional venue of the Prince of Asturias Awards ceremony, rendered in fine relief against a mirror-like proof field. To the left stands the distinctive sculptural trophy of the awards, a stylized abstract form recalling Joan Miró's artistic vision. The Madrid Mint mark appears to the left of the building. A waving banner bearing the legend ESPAÑA arches across the upper field, and the denomination 10 EURO is inscribed in the lower exergue.
