| Obverse description | Bare-headed, bearded effigy of King Felipe VI facing left, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and collar. The king's portrait occupies the central field in a restrained, contemporary style. The circular legend arcs along the upper periphery, separated from the portrait by a border of raised dots. The date appears in the lower exergual area, also flanked by raised dot ornaments. |

Spain hosted UEFA Euro 1964 — the only major international tournament held under Franco — and won it, a propaganda coup the regime exploited aggressively. Sixty years later, Spain hosted Euro 2024 in Germany and won that too, becoming the first nation to claim four European Championship titles. This coin marks that anniversary year and, as it turned out, the victory itself.
