Obverse description A detailed architectural rendering of the Gare de Metz (Metz Railway Station) occupies the lower portion of the field, depicting its distinctive Romanesque Revival clock tower and arched facade. Overlaying the design in the upper and central field are abstract diagonal lines representing railway tracks or high-speed train catenary structures, rendered in a dynamic stylized manner. The legend GARE de METZ arcs along the upper left periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the abbreviation RF (République Française) appears to the right of center in the field.
