| Obverse description | The arms of Malta are displayed centrally within a recessed mirror-polished field: a quartered shield bearing the George Cross on the dexter side and vertical stripes on the sinister, surmounted by a mural crown with eight visible turrets. The shield is flanked by a wreath of olive and palm branches, united at the base by a ribbon scroll inscribed REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA in Maltese script. The legend MALTA appears to the upper left of the inner field, and the date 2025 to the upper right. The outer border is decorated with twelve five-pointed stars arranged in a ring, referencing the European Union, set against a satin-finished annular rim. |
