| 表面の説明 | The obverse celebrates the traditional Austrian craft of lederhose making. To the left, a carved wooden mushroom-headed tool (used in leatherworking) is depicted in high relief alongside a textured piece of embroidered leather fabric. To the right, a large decorative acanthus-scroll motif in relief represents the intricate embroidery characteristic of Tracht leatherwork, with a pair of scissors rendered diagonally across the upper field. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, while the denomination 10 EURO and date 2025 appear in bold numerals at the lower left. |

Part of the Austrian Mint's ongoing Folk Costume series, this issue celebrates the Lederhose as a garment whose origins are solidly utilitarian — developed by Alpine working men in the 18th century before being romantically recast as a cultural symbol through the Bavarian and Austrian nationalist movements of the 19th. The transformation from workwear to identity marker was largely deliberate, driven by urban romanticization of rural life rather than any organic folk revival.
