Obverse description The obverse features, at center, a rectangular inset panel bearing a stylized representation of an open book whose pages are inscribed with the titles of works by Ladislav Nádaši-Jégé, including VÝHODY SPOLOČENSKÉHO ŽIVOTA, WIENIAWSKÉHO LEGENDA, ADAM ŠANGALA, KURUCI, MAGISTER RYTIER, DONČ, HORYMÍR, SVÄTOPLUK, ITÁLIA, and CESTA ŽIVOTOM. Emerging from the lower portion of the book panel is a low-relief figural scene depicting characters from the author's literary works. To the left of the panel stands the Slovak coat of arms — a shield bearing a double-barred cross rising from three hills. The denomination 10 EURO appears to the right of the panel in two lines. The legend SLOVENSKO is inscribed along the lower rim, with the date 2016 centered beneath the panel, flanked by the Kremnica Mint marks.

Reverse description The reverse presents a formal portrait bust of the Slovak writer Ladislav Nádaši-Jégé rendered in high relief within a rectangular frame occupying the central field. The subject is depicted facing three-quarters to the left, wearing round wire-rimmed spectacles and a jacket with an open collar, conveying a composed and intellectual bearing. The portrait is executed in a restrained, realistic style consistent with early twentieth-century commemorative medallic art. Below the rectangular portrait frame, the honoree's name LADISLAV NÁDAŠI-JÉGÉ is inscribed in two lines, followed by his birth and death years 1866–1940 on a third line, all in capital Latin letters against the smooth field.
