Reverse description The central field features a stylized relief map of Europe set against a finely engine-turned background of vertical lines, lending a guillochéd texture to the field. The denomination 10 EURO is inscribed to the left of the map in large numerals, while the inscriptions ESPAÑA and 2002 appear within the field to the right of the map, accompanied by a partial arc of five-pointed stars referencing the European Union emblem. The mint mark M for the Real Casa de la Moneda appears at the lower right. The upper border carries the curved legend PRESIDENCIA DE LA UNIÓN EUROPEA, commemorating Spain's rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
