Obverse description The Spanish national coat of arms is displayed prominently in the center of the field, surmounted by the royal crown. Surrounding the central arms, arranged in a ring around the periphery of the field, are the national arms or heraldic emblems of nine other Ibero-American nations, each rendered in fine relief against the mirror-polished proof field. A raised inner circle frames the central motif, and the circular legend reads around the ring between the central device and the surrounding emblems. The date 2012 appears at the base of the inner legend circle.

Reverse description A stylized globe rendered with meridian and parallel lines occupies the full field, serving as a unifying backdrop for a series of vignettes drawn from prior issues of the Ibero-American series. Depicted across the globe are diverse motifs including an equestrian figure, a traditional female dancer, a sailing vessel, a lynx, a historic building, and a coin design, each referencing imagery from earlier series coins. The denomination '10 EURO' appears prominently in the center of the field in bold lettering, with the inscription '20 ANIVERSARIO DE LA SERIE IBEROAMERICANA' arching to the left and the legend 'ENCUENTRO DE DOS MUNDOS' inscribed in large capitals along the lower edge. The Madrid mint mark 'M' appears below the denomination.
