| 正面描述 | Within a geometric octagonal frame composed of intersecting diagonal lines, the denomination numeral '10' appears prominently at center-right, flanked to the upper left by an olive branch and to the lower center by an oak branch with acorns, both rendered in high relief. The legend 'RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' arcs across the upper and lower portions of the central field, with 'EURO' inscribed to the left of the numeral. The date '2017' is positioned vertically along the right inner margin of the frame, and the mint engraver's mark appears in the lower right of the central device. |

Part of the Monnaie de Paris "Regions of France" series redesigned by Jean-Paul Gaultier, this issue belongs to a 2017 programme in which the fashion designer reimagined each French region through his own aesthetic vocabulary. Orléans's association with Joan of Arc — who broke the English siege there in May 1429, a turning point that arguably saved the Valois dynasty — gave Gaultier pointed material to work with.
Billon at .333 fineness is a deliberate choice for circulation-tier collector pieces: enough silver to justify the "silver coin" designation without the cost structure of a full sterling issue.
