| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts the stylized, intertwined national flags of France and China rendered in fine detail across the entire field, their undulating forms blending seamlessly into a unified composition. Five stars from the Chinese national flag are visible in relief at center. The denomination '10 EURO' and its Chinese equivalent '欧元' appear in the lower left field. A commemorative legend in both French and simplified Chinese occupies the upper right, reading '50e anniversaire des relations diplomatiques franco-chinoises' and '中法建交五十周年'. The design conveys diplomatic unity through the harmonious merging of the two nations' symbols. |

The 2014 Franco-Chinese diplomatic commemorative marks the 50th anniversary of France becoming the first Western power to establish full diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China — a decision made unilaterally by de Gaulle in January 1964, over the vocal objections of both the United States and Taiwan. Washington considered it a destabilizing breach of the Western bloc's containment policy.
The Monnaie de Paris issued this as part of a bilateral series produced in coordination with the China Mint, with versions distributed through both countries' official channels.
