| Reverse description | Facing bust of Euripides, the ancient Athenian tragedian, rendered in a classical sculptural style with long flowing hair and a full beard. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, depicted frontally with naturalistic detail. The legend ΕΥΡΙΠΙΔΗΣ and his life dates 485-406 π.Χ. are inscribed along the left periphery, while the issue year 2014 and the mint mark appear to the right of the bust. A decorative Greek meander border frames the entire design along the inner rim. |
