| Reverse description | A facing bust of the ancient Greek polymath Eratosthenes of Cyrene is depicted in high relief at the center of the coin, rendered in a classical sculptural style with finely detailed beard and draped attire. The portrait fills the central field and is framed by a continuous meander (Greek key) border encircling the entire coin. The date 2025 appears to the left of the bust in the field, while a small mint mark is visible to the right. Along the lower portion of the meander border, the legend ΕΡΑΤΟΣΘΕΝΗΣ 276-194 π.Χ. identifies the subject and his life dates in the Greek script. The reverse composition harmoniously integrates classical portraiture with traditional Hellenic decorative motifs. |
