| 正面铭文 | EUROPE BAROQUE & ROCOCO RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE 2018 |
| 背面描述 | The reverse presents a richly detailed scene set within the Hall of Mirrors (Galerie des Glaces) of the Palace of Versailles, rendered in high relief against a mirrored background with chandeliers receding into the distance. At center, a gilt figure of Louis XIV dressed in full royal ballet costume — representing his role as a dancer in court spectacles — is highlighted in selective gold coloring, contrasting dramatically with the silver field. To the right, a portrait bust of Voltaire is depicted in fine relief with elaborate period-style wig and cravat. A classical female statue is visible to the left amid baroque architectural elements. The denomination 10 EURO appears in the lower left field, with the inscriptions LOUIS XIV and the signature Voltaire inscribed in facsimile script across the lower center. |

Part of the Monnaie de Paris "Les Époques" series, this issue belongs to a long-running program documenting French artistic and architectural periods through annual silver releases. The baroque and rococo entry is arguably the series' most historically loaded choice: rococo developed in France as a deliberate lightening of the heavier baroque idiom, a shift closely tied to the regency following Louis XIV's death in 1715, when the rigid formality of Versailles gave way to the more intimate decorative style favored by the Parisian aristocracy.
The .900 silver specification places it slightly below sterling — a fineness Monnaie de Paris has used consistently across this program.
