| 表面の説明 | The Maltese national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a cross and vertical stripes, flanked by two symmetrical olive branches and surmounted by a mural crown. A ribbon scroll at the base of the arms bears the legend REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA. The country name MALTA appears to the left and the date 2024 to the right of the central device. Thirteen five-pointed stars arranged in a ring border the inner field, referencing the European Union motif. |

| 裏面の説明 | A detailed bird's-eye perspective view of the Cittadella (Ċittadella) of Gozo dominates the field, rendered in high relief and showing the walled citadel with its bastions, cathedral, and densely packed historic buildings set upon a rocky promontory. The inscription CITTADELLA GOZO appears in two lines at the top of the field. The denomination 10 EURO is inscribed at the lower left, while the mint mark of the Royal Dutch Mint appears at the lower right alongside the engraver's initials NGB. A fine beaded border frames the design. |

Gozo's Cittadella — the fortified hilltop citadel above Victoria — was substantially rebuilt by the Knights of St. John following the catastrophic Ottoman raid of 1551, in which virtually the entire island's population was taken into slavery. The Knights' reconstruction mandated that Gozitans sleep within the walls each night, a rule enforced for decades. This coin's issue coincides with ongoing UNESCO-recognized restoration work at the site, which has been underway in phases since the early 2000s.
