Reverse description The reverse depicts a poignant World War I commemorative scene: at center-right, a Maltese nurse in traditional religious habit tends to a wounded soldier lying in a bed, administering care with devoted attention, while a standing uniformed soldier is shown in the left background. A red poppy rendered in color appears to the left, symbolizing remembrance of the fallen. A Red Cross symbol is positioned to the right of the central figures. The denomination 10 EURO is inscribed prominently in the upper right field, with the engraver's initials NGB below the standing soldier. The dates 1914 and 1918 are inscribed to the left, and the circular legend MALTA • NURSE OF THE MEDITERRANEAN • REMEMBERS THE FALLEN • WW1 • 100TH ANNIVERSARY • frames the design along the periphery.
