| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse presents a detailed architectural rendering of the Basilica of Aquileia, depicted in elevation in the lower half of the field, showing the Romanesque campanile (bell tower) at left and the broad nave and ancillary structures of the basilica complex rendered with fine engraved detail. Superimposed above the elevation view is a schematic floor plan of the entire basilica precinct, executed in incuse dotted lines against a mirror-polished field, conveying the monument's monumental scale and spatial organization. The mint mark 'R' appears at lower left and the engraver's initial 'm' at lower right, flanking a further architectural plan detail. The legend REPUBBLICA ITALIANA arcs along the upper periphery in bold serif capitals, and the date 2010 is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
