| Reverse description | The figure of Athos, one of Alexandre Dumas's celebrated Three Musketeers, is portrayed in three-quarter stance in fine relief at the center of the field. To his left, fleurs-de-lis interwoven with lace motifs and feminine attributes allude to his complex relationship with the character Milady de Winter. To his right, stemmed wine glasses and bunches of grapes evoke the character's renowned bon vivant temperament. A cartographic rendering of Béarn, the province identified as Athos's place of origin, is incorporated into the design.
