| 表面の説明 | The obverse features a bold central legend reading RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE arranged around an olive branch above and an oak branch below, flanking the large numeral '10' with the word EURO to its left. The design is set within a stylised geometric octagonal inner border formed by intersecting diagonal lines radiating toward the rim, creating a faceted decorative field. The date 2015 appears vertically along the right inner border. The overall design is emblematic of the standard French commemorative euro obverse type introduced for this series. |

Part of Monnaie de Paris's long-running Astérix commemorative series, this issue draws on the 1966 Goscinny and Uderzo album in which Normans arrive in Gaul to learn the meaning of fear — a concept entirely foreign to them. The choice of "Fraternity" as the pairing reflects the French republican motto, a thread running through the entire series linking each Astérix adventure to one of the three ideals of Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.
The .333 fineness is notably low for a silver commemorative, placing this piece closer to billon than to bullion — a deliberate cost decision that kept the series accessible to younger collectors.
