Obverse description A detailed architectural view of Schloss Artstetten dominates the field, depicting the Baroque castle with its characteristic onion-domed corner towers and the adjacent church tower to the right, set against terraced gardens and flanking foliage in the foreground. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription SCHLOSS ARTSTETTEN appears in the upper field above the castle façade. The denomination 10 EURO is boldly rendered in large characters along the lower field, with the date 2004 inscribed in the exergue below. The engraver's initials appear discreetly in the lower right of the architectural composition. The overall design reflects the high-relief medallic tradition of the Austrian Mint.
