Obverse description A relief map of the European continent occupies the left and lower portions of the field, rendered in fine detail with country outlines. Twelve five-pointed stars, representing the European Union flag, are arranged in an arc across the upper field. The denomination '10 EURO' is prominently inscribed in large characters to the right of center, with the date '2006' below.
