Issued to mark the April 2011 wedding of Prince Albert II of Monaco to Charlene Wittstock, this piece was produced by the Monnaie de Paris under the longstanding agreement by which France handles Monaco's coinage — a arrangement rooted in the 1918 Franco-Monegasque Treaty that tied the principality's monetary fate directly to Paris.
