Obverse description The obverse features a stylized map of Europe rendered in relief at center, set within an octagonal inner border. The denomination '10 EURO' and the date '2011' appear to the right of the map in the field. The country name is inscribed in three languages around the periphery: 'BELGIQUE' at the top, with 'BELGIE' to the left and 'BELGIEN' to the right. A ring of twelve five-pointed stars, symbolic of the European Union, runs along the lower portion of the border. The mint mark and engraver's initials 'LL' appear in the field.
