| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Malta, featuring a quartered shield bearing a representation of the George Cross on a plain field, flanked symmetrically by two olive branches. The shield is surmounted by a mural crown with five visible towers, a traditional emblem of civic heraldry. A scroll beneath the shield bears the inscription 'REPUBBLIKA TA' MALTA' in Latin lettering. The country name 'MALTA' arcs along the left border and the date '2026' along the right, with the denomination '10 EURO' inscribed along the lower rim. Twelve five-pointed stars encircle the design in the outer border, referencing the European Union. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts a dramatic nocturnal scene of the Malta International Fireworks Festival, with traditional Maltese fireworks being launched from barges moored in Valletta's Grand Harbour. The historic Fort St. Angelo is prominently rendered in the foreground, its imposing medieval silhouette contrasting with the burst of pyrotechnic displays illuminating the sky above the harbour. The composition captures the festive atmosphere with detailed engraving of the water, fortifications, and firework trajectories. The upper legend reads 'MALTA INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS FESTIVAL' and the lower inscription notes '25th ANNIVERSARY', both in Latin lettering. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Malta International Fireworks Festival began in 2001 as a modest harbourfront event and grew into one of Europe's more competitive pyrotechnic gatherings, drawing teams from across the continent to compete over Valletta's Grand Harbour. Malta's own fireworks tradition runs considerably deeper — village festas have sustained family-run fireworks factories in towns like Mqabba and Ghaxaq for generations, with craft knowledge passed through families rather than formal training.
The twenty-fifth edition falls in 2025, making 2026 the commemorative year.
