Obverse description The stylized Federal Eagle (Bundesadler) occupies the center of the field, flanked symmetrically on either side by six of the twelve stars of the European Union, arranged in a horizontal arc. The legend BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND curves along the upper periphery. Below the eagle, the fineness designation SILBER 625 is inscribed in the lower field to distinguish this silver issue from its cupronickel counterpart. Along the lower rim, reading left to right, appear the Berlin Mint mark A, the date 2011, and the face value 10 EURO.
